The Arts Society was established in 1968 as The National Association for Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS), a highly respected arts society for decades.

The organisation has grown to be a vibrant network of local and global societies of people brought together through a shared curiosity for the Arts and our artistic heritage in the UK and abroad.

In 2017 the organisation rebranded as "The Arts Society”, adopting a new logo and presentational formats. Our patron is Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucestershire GVCO and our President is Hilary Kay, whose work in television and beyond has played a significant role in generating a wider appreciation of art, antiques and collecting.

As a member of a local Arts Society you also become a member of The Arts Society and have access to its monthly bulletins and quarterly magazine. Arts Society events are welcoming places locally, nationally and globally - a place to make new friends with a common interest.
